Chelsea is one of London's most exclusive neighbourhoods. Sloane Square, the King's Road, Pavilion Road.... the list goes on. Chelsea is home to the annual RHS Chelsea Flower Show held at the Royal Hospital - a must-have ticket on the social calendar!

Chelsea is located, close to the river Thames, in the south part of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. The area is steeped in history, from the former home of Henry VIII's wife, Katherine Parr on Chelsea Manor Street through to the 1960s and the Rolling Stones and the Beatles making the pubs of the King's Road famous.

The Royal Court Theatre in Sloane Square: home to some of the best writers, directors and stage productions in London.

The Saatchi Gallery, showcasing the work of some of the best emerging modern artists.

Shopping:

The King's Road: the main street in Chelsea and home to some of best independent and high-end fashion houses today, including Soho House Home, Anthropologie, Gérard Darel to name but a few.

Two more wonderful parts of Chelsea: Pavilion Road and Sloane Street.

The River Thames and Battersea Park:

Leading down from Sloane Square and the King's Road is the majestic river Thames.  

On the way to the river, you pass by The Royal Hospital - home to the Chelsea Pensioners in their bright red jackets! -  and the Chelsea Physic Garden.

Taking either Chelsea Bridge or Albert Bridge is Battersea Park: an oasis in the heart of London complete with a boating lake, cafes, sports facilities and even a Pagoda!

Westminster City School

Dukes Education has a good selection of excellent private schools for all ages.
